Finacing that Spring Wardrobe- Part I

While Spring's new & wonderful styles are hanging in stores now (making you look at your current winter wardrobe with a bit of dissatisfaction), you may not have the funds to put towards them. This doesn't have to be so. Why don't you "recycle" your wardrobe by selling the old in order to bring on the new? (yes, I have mentioned this in a previous post:).

E-BAY, my dears. That is where your dreams of new Spring threads can come true.

As you consider listing your clothing items, there are a couple of things to keep in mind in order to be more sell-able. 

1. Presentation- iron if there are wrinkles or get it dry cleaned! Make sure that the clothing item looks as new as possible (that doesn't mean lie about it being new :-p, but making it look as if it is is definitely a good thing!).
2. Pictures- do not underestimate their importance. Make sure that you have good lighting (natural is best) and that the quality is clear. The more the potential buyer can see the true colors and quality, the better.
3. Price- keep in mind that while you may treasure that vintage dress, others may not see its charm as much as you do. Don't over price it. You will find it harder to get bids and you don't need that b/c... that Spring wardrobe is waiting! (always remember to include a realistic shipping cost as well).

I have sold several items on E-bay over the years and it has definitely served my wardrobe well.  Try it out for yourself.
